Scientific Research

The Butterfly Body Bright program has been informed by Australian and international research on body image, disordered eating and eating disorder prevention, and effective implementation of prevention programs. This has ensured that the school culture guidelines, online staff training, lesson plans and family resources are safe, age/role appropriate and address the known modifiable risk and protective factors that underpin the development of body dissatisfaction, disordered eating and eating disorders in children and adolescents.
